TEXTiles: Reading the Cloth, will run from March 30 to April 5, 2007. It
is an exhibition of wall hangings and soft furnishings from Jenine Davidson,
Master Weaver, inspired by a collection of original weavings from South-East
Asia. Jenine's book about her journey through the fabrics, Asia in a Box,
will be launched during this exhibition.

McLeod Gallery
This small, friendly and intimate gallery space houses a continuing exhibition
of works by Australian artists, jewellers, woodworkers, textile artists,
potters and ceramists. It also carries a selection of books and recordings
by local writers and musicians.

Pig and Whistle
Studio gallery displaying fine stoneware pottery by Richard Murray who
has evolved shapes, glazes and decorations which reflect and are inspired
by his long time love (over 35 years) of the Braidwood landscape. His
pots are both decorative and functional, and also highly individual. Works
are all wheel-thrown.

Studio Altenburg
Studio Altenburg presents a new exhibition, Cosmos, by Suzanne Bellamy,
opening March 23 for a month. Cosmos explores earth changes, climate,
old mysteries and the need for new visioning on our planet. Mythic forms
and evocative colours abound on canvas and in clay. There will be a special
pre-dinner Festival Reception (drinks and nibbles) at the gallery on Saturday
March 31 at 5pm. All welcome.

Sugden/Hamilton Studio/Shop
This studio is the venue for the on-going exhibition of the work of Greg
Sugden and Merrie Hamilton, two of Braidwood's resident artists. Their
ceramics are a collaborative mix of techniques and approaches to jewellery,
functional bowls and dishes, decorative platters, wall plaques and sculpture.

Women's Words and Stitches
Nationally recognised quilters and textile artists have been invited to
research an Australian woman writer and respond with a textile work. The
resulting exhibition is part of a fusion event especially prepared for
the Two Fires Festival 2007. Women, Writing and Ideas, two discussion
forums convened by Suzanne Bellamy and hosted by Professors Elizabeth
Webby and Diane Bell, will take place within the exhibition. Women's Words
and Stitches will be open daily March 30 - April 1.

Judith Wright Collection at the Library
Council Library, rear of Palerang Council Chambers, Wallace St
Display of books by Judith Wright. The display is accompanied by the film,
'At Edge' (directed by Solrun Haas) on continuous loop.

Book Launch Ginninderra Press invites you to the launch of Full
Circle poems by Eileen Haley 12:30pm, Saturday 31st March, in the Club

A Suitable Book
A collection of books to complement the Festival will be provided by a
Suitable Book, an independent bookshop from Bungendore NSW and Kingston
ACT. The Festival Bookshop will be located in the Old Westpac Building
where you will find poetry and prose to celebrate people and place, book
launches, and good literary chatter.
